Brand Info, Locations and Google Reviews

Describe your brand, add your business locations from Google Maps, and read your Google reviews inside Orsa.

The Info tab is your brand’s profile. It’s where you tell Orsa what the business is and where it is. Open it from the sidebar under Brand, or go to your brand’s Info tab.

The General Info part of the tab has two sections:

  • About: your description, date established, industry and sub industry.
  • Locations: your business’s places, added from Google Maps. Each one can show its Google reviews.

Your description and at least one location are both required to finish brand setup. See Creating and Setting Up a Brand.

The Content Channels and Content Schedules parts of the Info tab have their own guide: Content Channels and Schedules.

Quick start (5 minutes)

  1. Open your brand’s Info tab.
  2. Under About, click Edit. Write two or three sentences about your business in Description, then click Save.
  3. Find your business on Google Maps, click Share, and copy the link.
  4. Back on the Info tab, click Add Google Maps URL. Paste the link and click Search Location.
  5. Click Select next to your business.

Your location is added with its name, address, phone and website. Its Google reviews appear the next day.

About your brand

The About section describes your business. Orsa AI and the other AI tools read your Description every time they create something for you. If it’s empty, they only know your brand’s name.

  1. Click Edit next to About.
  2. Fill in the fields:
Field What to enter Example
Description What you do, who for, and what makes you different, in 2–4 sentences “Sunrise Bakery is a family-run bakery in Portland. We bake sourdough, pastries and custom cakes fresh every morning, with local flour.”
Date established When the business started 05/14/2012
Industry Your broad industry Food & Beverage
Sub industry Your specific niche Bakery
  1. Click Save.

Good to know:

  • Industry and Sub industry can be up to 100 characters each.
  • Your industry matters for the Quality Gate. If it mentions health, medical, pharma, finance, insurance, legal, law, crypto, investment, securities or banking, the compliance check is stricter about claims in your content.
  • Saving a new Description re-picks your brand’s worldwide national days on the Calendar. The old picks are cleared right away and the new ones usually appear within a few hours.
  • During brand setup there’s no Cancel button. Click Save to close the editor.
  • Setting up a new brand with a website? The AI Suggestion button can fill these fields in for you. See Set Up Your Brand from Your Website.

Add a location from Google Maps

Locations are added from your business’s Google Maps listing. This fills in the name, address, phone and website for you, and connects the location’s Google reviews.

Before you start: your listing needs at least one Google review. Without one, Orsa can’t find the location.

Get your Google Maps link

  1. Open Google Maps and search for your business.
  2. Click your business, then click Share.
  3. Click Copy link. It looks like https://maps.app.goo.gl/WpwM3p8WfaQv2LMeA.

Links that start with google.com/maps, maps.google.com, maps.app.goo.gl or goo.gl/maps all work.

Add the location

  1. On the Info tab, click Add Google Maps URL. During setup you can also click Setup next to Quick Setup with Google Maps.
  2. Paste your link into Google Maps URL and click Search Location.
  3. You’ll see a message like 1 Location Found! with your business’s name, address, star rating, number of reviews and categories. Click Select next to the right one.
  4. The location appears under Locations.

Add one location per physical place. A bakery with two shops adds both.

During setup, if the listing has a website, Orsa also reads it and suggests the rest of your setup. See Set Up Your Brand from Your Website.

Edit or delete a location

Each location shows its Website, Products Pages, Phone, Street, City, State and Country, plus View on Google Maps and View Reviews links.

Edit a location

  1. Click the ⋮ menu on the location’s card, then Edit location.
  2. Change the name or any field. For example, correct the phone number or the website.
  3. Click Save.

For Country, use a country name or a two-letter code, like United States or US. For State, use a real state or province for that country, like Oregon or OR. Otherwise the change isn’t saved.

Products Pages are links to the pages on your website that list your products or services, like https://sunrisebakery.com/cakes. While editing, paste a link and click Add. They’re used to import your products. See Products and Promotions.

Delete a location

Click the ⋮ menu, then Delete Location, then Delete to confirm. Its reviews no longer show. To get it back, add it again from Google Maps.

Read your Google reviews

Every location added from Google Maps brings in its Google reviews. Read them right on the Info tab:

  1. Click View Reviews on the location’s card.
  2. Customer Reviews opens, newest first. Each review shows the reviewer’s name, date, star rating and text, and your reply under Response from owner: if you wrote one.
  3. Click View on Google to open a review on Google, for example to reply to it.
  4. Click Load More at the bottom to see older reviews.

Click Hide Reviews to close them.

How reviews stay up to date

  • Reviews are refreshed once a day, overnight.
  • A new location’s reviews appear after the next daily refresh. Until then you’ll see “No reviews found for this location.”
  • Star-only ratings with no written text aren’t brought in.

You can also ask Orsa AI about your reviews, for example “What do customers love most in our recent reviews?” or “Find reviews that mention wait times.”

Ideas for using your info and reviews

Turn reviews into content. Your best reviews are ready-made social proof.

Example: a café reads “Best oat flat white in town, and the staff remember my name!” (5 stars). It asks Orsa AI to turn the quote into a testimonial post for Instagram.

Find what to fix or explain. Repeated complaints are content ideas too.

Example: a dentist sees several reviews saying parking was hard to find. They add the idea “Where to park when you visit us” to their Ideas board.

Run several locations. Add each shop so reviews and addresses stay separate.

Example: a bakery adds Sunrise Bakery — Pearl District and Sunrise Bakery — Alberta St. Each shows its own reviews.

Tips for the best results

  • Write a real description. It’s read by the AI on every request. Say what you sell, who it’s for and what’s special. “Bakery” is vague. “Family-run sourdough bakery in Portland, open since 2012, known for custom birthday cakes” gives the AI something to work with.
  • Keep your Google listing accurate. Name, address, phone and website are copied from it when you add the location.
  • Use the Share link from Google Maps. It’s the most reliable link to paste.
  • Fill in Industry carefully. It decides how strict the Quality Gate’s compliance check is.
  • Ask happy customers for written reviews. Star-only reviews are brought in too, but only reviews with text give you something to quote.

Common questions

I get “No business found at this link. Use the Google Maps link of a single business listing.” Either the link isn’t for a single business, or the business has no Google reviews yet. Copy the link again with Share on your business’s Google Maps page. If your listing has no reviews, you need at least one before you can add it.

I get “Please enter a valid Google Maps URL”. The link isn’t a Google Maps link. Use the Share link from Google Maps, which starts with https://maps.app.goo.gl/.

I get “An error occurred while creating the location. Please try again.” Orsa couldn’t save the location, sometimes because the address’s country or state wasn’t recognized. Try again, or try a link copied from a different Google Maps page for the same business.

Can I add a location that isn’t on Google Maps? No. Locations can only be added from a Google Maps listing with at least one review.

My new location shows “No reviews found for this location.” Reviews are brought in once a day, overnight. Check again tomorrow.

A review I can see on Google is missing. It was probably posted after the last daily refresh, so it will appear tomorrow.

My location change didn’t save. The message says what’s wrong. Most often it’s Country or State: use a country name or two-letter code, and a real state or province for that country.

I see “Industry can’t be longer than 100 characters.” Industry and Sub industry can be at most 100 characters. Shorten them and save again.

I deleted a location by mistake. Deleting is immediate. Add it again with Add Google Maps URL. Its reviews come back after the next daily refresh.
