Getting Help from Orsa AI

Ask Orsa AI "how do I…" or "why isn't this working?" and its Help Guide specialist answers from these guides, checks your brand's real setup, and links you to the exact section.

You can ask Orsa AI how Orsa works, the same way you’d ask a colleague. For example: “How do I add a competitor to Discover?” or “Why isn’t my signal rule finding anything?”

Orsa AI hands these questions to its Help Guide specialist. The Help Guide:

  • looks up the answer in these help guides,
  • checks your brand’s real setup when something isn’t working,
  • replies with plain steps, the exact button names, and a link to each guide section it used.

Ask in the main Orsa AI chat on the Organize page. Click Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right. For Orsa AI basics, see Meet Orsa AI.

Quick start (5 minutes)

  1. Open the Organize page and click Ask Orsa AI.
  2. Type your question in your own words, like “How do I set up a posting schedule?”
  3. Press Enter. Orsa AI tells you it’s checking and will report back.
  4. A small list above the chat box shows the Help Guide working, with a spinning circle.
  5. When it’s done, Orsa AI replies on its own with the steps and links.
  6. Click a link to open that guide section at orsa.social/guides.

Example: a florist asks “How do I invite my assistant to our brand?” Orsa AI replies with the steps, names the buttons to click, and links to the guide section on inviting teammates.

How the Help Guide finds answers

The Help Guide answers only from the Orsa help guides, the same guides you’re reading now at orsa.social/guides.

  • It searches the guides with your words. It doesn’t need the feature’s exact name. “Make the app dark” finds the guide on Dark Mode.
  • It tries again if the first search misses. It rephrases, or searches by the feature’s name, once or twice more.
  • It doesn’t guess. It doesn’t fill gaps with what other social media tools do. If the guides don’t cover your question, it says so.
  • It links its sources. Every answer links to the guide sections it relied on, so you can read more or check for yourself.

Each answer is short, usually under 250 words. Ask for a longer walkthrough if you need one.

How the Help Guide checks your brand’s setup

For “why isn’t X working?” questions, the Help Guide compares what the guide says with how your brand is actually set up. It then names the cause it found and the fix.

The Help Guide can look at your brand’s:

  • Discover setup: your signal rules, the sources you follow, what signals were picked up, and which posts matched a rule.
  • Brand details: Playbook and content guidelines, fonts and colors, products, pillars, audiences, strategy, campaigns, upcoming dates, connected social accounts and posting schedules.
  • Content: ideas, designs, scripts, blogs, marketing emails, and your published social posts, including one item’s full details.
  • Performance numbers: your top posts, how content performed, pillar coverage, how well you’re keeping to your posting schedule, and saved reports.
  • Brand Memory: what Orsa AI has been told to remember about your brand.

Example: you ask “Why isn’t my signal rule finding anything?” The Help Guide checks the rule and replies: “The rule ‘Algorithm news’ has no sources selected.” Then it tells you where to add them.

The Help Guide only looks. It can’t change anything for you. It tells you exactly what to change and where.

What the Help Guide can’t check

The Help Guide only sees your brand’s setup and content. It can’t see:

  • your screen, or an error message you’re looking at,
  • your own account, like your email or password,
  • your plan, billing or AI credits,
  • things outside the brand you’re working in.

If your question is about one of these, paste the exact message you see into the chat. The Help Guide can still look up what the guides say about it.

How up to date the Help Guide is

The Help Guide reads a copy of the guides that’s refreshed once a day, overnight. When a guide is added or changed, the Help Guide can use the new version from the next day.

So for a feature or change released today, the Help Guide may not know about it yet. Open Guides from your account menu to read the latest version directly. See Finding Your Way Around.

Questions to ask the Help Guide

How do I…

“How do I upload our logo and brand colors?”

“How do I schedule a design to Instagram?”

“How do I add a subreddit to Discover?”

What does this mean?

“What’s the difference between a pillar and a sub-pillar?”

“What does the Posting Cadence tile show?”

Why isn’t this working?

“Why isn’t my signal rule finding anything?”

“Why don’t I see any posts from our TikTok?”

“Why is my sidebar greyed out?”

Where is…

“Where do I find the posts I saved for inspiration?”

Tips for the best results

  • Ask in your own words. You don’t need to know what a feature is called.
  • Name the thing that isn’t working. “The signal rule ‘Local events’” lets the Help Guide check that exact rule instead of guessing which one.
  • Say what you see. Paste the exact error or label, like “It says Something went wrong”.
  • One question at a time. The Help Guide gives better answers to one clear question than to three in one message.
  • Follow the link. The guide section often has more detail, like limits and timings, than fits in a short answer.
  • Ask Orsa AI to check the guides. If Orsa AI answers an app question without a link, say “Check the help guides for that”. That sends it to the Help Guide.

When to use feedback or Report a bug instead

The Help Guide explains how the app works. It can’t fix the app or pass a message to the Orsa team.

  • Something is broken, like a button that does nothing or a page that won’t load: use Report a bug in your account menu, on the page where it happens.
  • You want a feature that doesn’t exist, or the guides say the app can’t do something you need: send it from the Feedback page.

See Sending Feedback and Reporting Bugs.

Example: the Help Guide says your design export steps are right, but the Download button still spins forever. That’s a bug. Click Report a bug on that page and attach a screenshot.

Common questions

Orsa AI said it would report back, but nothing happened yet. The Help Guide works in the background. Check the list above the chat box for a spinning circle. Orsa AI replies on its own when the Help Guide is done. You can also ask “Is that answer ready?” See Orsa AI’s Specialists and Task Plans.

The Help Guide said the guides don’t cover my question. There may not be a guide for it yet, or your wording didn’t match. Try asking with the feature’s name, or the label you see on screen. You can also browse Guides from your account menu.

The answer doesn’t match what I see in the app. The app may have changed since the guides were last refreshed. Read the linked guide section, and if the app still doesn’t match, use Report a bug.

Can I ask the Help Guide from the Orsa AI tab in an editor? Ask in the main Orsa AI chat on the Organize page. The Orsa AI tabs in the editors focus on the item you have open. See Orsa AI in the Editors.

Can the Help Guide fix the problem for me? No. It only looks things up. It tells you what to change, and you make the change.

Does asking the Help Guide use AI credits? Orsa AI needs AI credits to reply. If your brand is out of AI credits, Orsa AI can’t answer. See Credits and Limits.

Can the Help Guide contact the Orsa team for me? No. To reach the team, use the Feedback page or Report a bug. See Sending Feedback and Reporting Bugs.
