Meet Orsa AI — Your AI Assistant in Orsa
What Orsa AI is, where to open it, what it already knows about your brand, what it looks up when it needs to, and how long brand changes take to reach it.
Orsa AI is the AI assistant built into Orsa. Think of it as a content strategist who already knows your brand. You chat with it in plain words, and it helps you:
- come up with content ideas and file them on your Ideas board,
- shape your content pillars and audiences,
- get first drafts of video scripts, documents, marketing emails and designs,
- look at how your posts are doing and what accounts you follow are posting,
- answer “how do I…” questions about the app.
Orsa AI suggests and you decide. Anything that adds or changes your content shows up as a card you approve first. See Approving Orsa AI’s Actions.
The main Orsa AI chat lives on the Organize page. Click Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right.
Quick start (5 minutes)
- Open the Organize page.
- Click Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right. The Orsa AI panel opens on the right.
- Click a starter, like Give me a few content ideas to work with, or type your own request in the box that says “Ask for ideas, a draft, or a week of posts…”.
- Press Enter. Orsa AI thinks for a moment, then replies in the chat.
- If Orsa AI suggests ideas, each one appears as a card that says Orsa AI wants to create new content idea. Click Approve on the ones you like.
- Approved ideas land on your Ideas board as Draft ideas.
Example: a yoga studio types “Give me 3 post ideas for our new Sunday beginner class, aimed at people over 50.” Orsa AI replies with three ideas as cards. The owner approves two and clicks Cancel on the third.
Where to find Orsa AI
Orsa AI is in two kinds of places.
The main chat, on the Organize page. This is Orsa AI as your strategist. It works across your whole brand.
- Open the Organize page. It works on the Ideas, Calendar and Content Groups tabs.
- Click Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right.
- Drag the panel’s left edge to make it wider or narrower.
- Click Expand for full screen, and Exit full screen to go back.
- Click the × to close it.
The Ask Orsa AI button is hidden while you have a single idea open. Close the idea to get it back.
Inside the editors. Each editor has its own Orsa AI chat about the item you’re working on:
| Editor | Where to click |
|---|---|
| Design editor | The Orsa AI tab in the side panel |
| Document editor | Ask Orsa AI at the bottom right |
| Transcript (video script) editor | The Orsa AI tab in the right panel |
| Marketing email editor | The Orsa AI tab in the right sidebar |
Editor chats can change the item itself, like rewriting a paragraph or adding a slide. See Orsa AI in the Editors and Editing Documents with Orsa AI.
The Ask Orsa AI button on an idea’s Orsa AI field is a different tool: it fills in that one field from a prompt. See AI Fields.
What Orsa AI already knows about your brand
In the main chat, Orsa AI reads these brand details before every reply, so you don’t need to explain them:
- Your brand’s name and About text.
- Your Brand Kit voice and tone.
- Your Playbook: your content rules and standards.
- Your Brand Memory: facts, preferences and corrections about your brand.
- Your content pillars with their goals and active sub-pillars.
- Your audiences: each one’s name, age range, interests and gender.
- Your active strategy and objectives, and your active and planned campaigns.
- Your active channels: where your brand publishes.
- Your 10 most recently updated content groups, so it can file ideas in the right one.
- Your team: each member’s username and role.
- Today’s date and day of the week.
If your brand has few or no pillars or audiences yet, Orsa AI offers to help you set them up first. It asks who you serve and what you post about, then suggests pillars and audiences for you to approve.
What Orsa AI looks up when it needs to
Some things Orsa AI doesn’t read up front. It looks them up on its own when your request needs them. It never asks your permission to look something up, and lookups don’t show up as cards.
- Brand details: your Brand Kit fonts and colors, your products and promotions, connected accounts and posting schedules, full audience profiles, and upcoming entries on your Timeline.
- Your content: ideas, video scripts, designs, blogs, documents, marketing emails and your published social posts. It can search them or open one to read it in full.
- Upcoming scheduled content: blogs, designs and emails set to go out soon.
- Google reviews for your locations.
- Performance: your brand’s overall numbers, your top posts, how well each pillar is covered, how often you’ve posted against your schedule, and your saved reports.
- Discover: recent posts from accounts you track, posts that are doing much better than usual, your swipe file, your Discover sources and your signal rules.
- The web: Orsa AI can search the web and read a page. It links to the pages it used.

To point Orsa AI at one specific item, tag it with an @ mention, like @design or @file. See Mentions and Files.
How Orsa AI answers
- Short by default. Orsa AI keeps replies brief. Ask “tell me more” or “explain in detail” for a longer answer.
- Plain chat, no emoji. Replies use simple formatting like bold and short lists. Ask if you want emoji.
- It takes action as cards. When you ask for ideas, pillars, audiences or drafts, Orsa AI creates them as cards for you to approve, rather than asking “Shall I add these?”. See Approving Orsa AI’s Actions.
- It asks when it’s stuck. If your request is too vague, Orsa AI may show a card with a few short questions and options to pick from. See Answering Orsa AI’s Questions.
- It shows a plan for bigger jobs. For a request with several steps, Orsa AI shows a Plan with each step ticked off as it goes. It can also hand work to specialists that run in the background. See Specialists and Task Plans.
- It remembers things you tell it. When you mention something worth keeping, like “the owner hates emoji”, Orsa AI saves it to Brand Memory without asking. See Brand Memory.
While Orsa AI is working you see a loading animation under the last message. A reply can take from a few seconds to a minute or more for bigger requests.
When brand changes reach Orsa AI
Orsa AI doesn’t always see a brand change the moment you save it.
- Up to 15 minutes in the main chat: changes to your Playbook and Brand Memory. Orsa AI may keep using the old version until then.
- Next message in the main chat: changes to your About text, pillars and sub-pillars, audiences, strategy and objectives, campaigns, channels, content groups and team.
- Up to 15 minutes in the editor chats: changes to your brand details there.
If you’ve just changed something important, wait 15 minutes, or tell Orsa AI the new version in the chat.
For more about how memory is picked and timed, see Brand Memory.
Ideas for using Orsa AI
Plan a few weeks of posts.
A hair salon asks: “What should we post over the next two weeks? We’re pushing our new balayage service.” Orsa AI checks the salon’s pillars and recent posts, then proposes ideas as cards to approve.
Set up your pillars and audiences.
A new bakery brand with no pillars asks: “Help me figure out what we should post about.” Orsa AI asks a few questions, then proposes pillars like Behind the bake and audiences like Office workers nearby. The owner approves the ones that fit.
Check how things are going.
A freelancer asks for a client: “Which of our posts did best last month, and why?” Orsa AI looks up the top posts and explains what they have in common.
Get a first draft.
A gym asks: “Write a 30-second Reel script for our idea ‘Desk stretches’.” Orsa AI has a specialist write it, then shows a card that says Orsa AI wants to create a video script. See Drafting Assets and Designs.
Ask how the app works.
“How do I add a competitor to Discover?” Orsa AI answers from these help guides. See Getting Help from Orsa AI.
Tips for the best results
- Fill in your brand first. Orsa AI is only as good as what it knows. An About text, a Playbook, pillars and audiences make a big difference.
- Be specific. Name the platform, format, audience and goal. “3 Instagram carousel ideas for first-time home buyers, educational” beats “some ideas”.
- Tag what you mean. Use @idea, @design or @post instead of describing an item. See Mentions and Files.
- Correct Orsa AI in the chat. Say “No, we close at 6 now.” Orsa AI fixes its answer and can save the correction to Brand Memory for next time.
- Start a new chat for a new topic. Long chats get summarized, so early details can fade. See Conversations and History.
Common questions
I don’t see the Ask Orsa AI button. It’s on the Organize page, at the bottom right. If you have an idea open, close it first. In the editors, look for the Orsa AI tab instead.
Orsa AI doesn’t know which idea I’m looking at. The main chat doesn’t follow what you have open on the page. Tag the idea with @idea, or paste its title.
Orsa AI used old information after I changed my Playbook or memory. Those changes can take up to 15 minutes to reach Orsa AI. Wait, or tell Orsa AI the new version in the chat. See When brand changes reach Orsa AI.
Orsa AI’s writing doesn’t sound like us. Check your Brand Kit voice and tone, which Orsa AI reads before every reply. Add the key rules to your Playbook too, which it always reads. Changes can take up to 15 minutes to reach Orsa AI.
Orsa AI says “Something went wrong while I was working on that — please try again.” The reply failed partway. Send your message again. If it keeps happening, start a new chat.
Orsa AI says “I wasn’t able to finish that — it took more steps than I’m allowed.” The request was too big for one go. Break it into smaller requests, like one week at a time instead of a whole month.
I can’t type in the chat. Check the message above the box. “Answer or dismiss the question above to keep chatting.” means Orsa AI is waiting on a question card. “You’ve used all your AI credits for this plan.” means your brand is out of AI credits. See Credits and Limits.
Can my teammates see my chats? No. Your Orsa AI chats are private to you. What you approve, like new ideas, and what Orsa AI saves to Brand Memory is shared with the whole brand. See Conversations and History.
Can I pick which AI model Orsa AI uses? No. There’s no model picker. See Credits and Limits.
Can Orsa AI post or schedule for me? No. Orsa AI can’t publish or schedule posts. It helps you plan and draft, and you schedule from the app. See What Orsa AI Can Do.
